Judging from his participation in the tv-show he does some stuff on the side, when he's not keeping everything under control in the pub. But I think there's no need to say he didn't make it through to the next round. Enjoy his performance!

Örebro's Got Talent
Last evening it was the final of the tv-show Britain's Got Talent. I don't really care about competitions like this, but a lot of people do and the bar was packed when the winner was gonna be announced. It seemed like most people wanted one of the dance groups to win, which they also did, even though I liked these guys better. Poor Susan Boyle looked so nervous she looked like she would mess herself, so maybe better that she just got the silver medal.
Of course there's not only talent in Britain, but lots of "talent" also in Sweden, and especially in my great home town of Örebro. This guy is a doorman at small pub where you go to start off a night with some cheap pints. He really likes the "power" his badge gives him and always asks you how much you had to drink when you get there to see if you're too drunk, even if you are totally sober, and then says "hmm, ok....but take it easy tonight!" He also always used to ask for ID from one of my friends (who at the time were 23) to let him in, even though he used to go down there a couple of times a week, and they also lived in the same building across the street from the place. You would think he would remember him and his age, but well he gotta do his job, right.
Judging from his participation in the tv-show he does some stuff on the side, when he's not keeping everything under control in the pub. But I think there's no need to say he didn't make it through to the next round. Enjoy his performance!

Bingo!
Yesterday evening Bibo, Phil and Tom arranged a bingo party to raise money for their charity challenge where they gonna climb the five highest peak in the UK in 48 hours (climb is maybe to exaggerate, more like walking up for, but still quite a challenge to do it in two days). Of course I was there to support them, and I bought 7 cards for £5 with hope of winning the top prize; a ticket for the Summer Ball in June. The first numbers really went my way, and the girl next to me noticed and told me "oh look, we both need the same number to complete a row, how exiting!". A few minutes later Tom said the lucky number, so I jump up from my seat and yell "line!!" while the poor girl next to me was just about to stand up. I felt a bit bad first on one hand, but hey, rules are rules and it's a game so somebody has to win. The prize was a bottle of wine, which is still in my room but I told her that she would get a glas or so of it when I'm gonna drink it on Friday in the bar.

Swedish delicacies
As I told in my last blog post, I went to Ikea to buy some food to make a dinner for some of the friends here, to give something back since I have got to try so much nice food from them and also just to have a good time all together. So on Friday night we all went to one of the kitchens in the brand new buildings where Felix is lucky to live. As there was quite many things to do at the same time I was immidiately asked, mostly by the girls, if I needed some help, which I did. In the end they had taken over all of the cooking, and even though I tried to contribute with something they didn't let me, and I've learned here not to go against an Italian woman in the kitchen. So I arranged the plates and the small aperitifs that consisted of schnapps cheese, pickled cucumber and reindeer salami on a piece of crisp bread, and the main dish of Swedish meatballs and potato in cream sauce with lingonberry jam. I must say it was a big success, and all of the food was gone when we left to go out clubbing.

Felix also took on the deadly challenge of eating a knäckebröd in less than ten seconds. Something a Dutch man has never ever done before! How it went you can see in the video below:

Free Spotify!
For those that have read this blog a while you have seen that I have had in many of my music posts a Spotify-link to the music I have written about so you can listen to it yourself. Spotify is, for you who already don't know and are using it, a music program that let you stream and listen to music through your computer. As the company that developed it has made contracts with all the major record labels and lots of smaller ones it allows you to listen to a huge number of songs in a good sound quality. Through the UK you can right now listen to 2 225 382 songs, in Sweden even a bit more right now I think! The program is free to download, but to get a free account you have to get an invitation from another user. The free version is funded by short advertising messages that sometimes comes in between the songs but not that often. There is also the premium account without advertising that cost 9.99 € (approximately 12 USD, £10 GBP or 100 SEK). Spotify Premium is available in Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Spain and the UK. The Free version is only available in the UK, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Spain. It looks a lot like iTunes and very easy to use.
The good thing now is that I received a couple invitations when I got back here and changed country to UK in my profile (I guess they want to spread the program outside of Sweden, where it was created and launched). So I will now hold a contest where you can win a free Spotify account!! The only thing you have to do is to motivate in a comment to this post why you should get one of the two accounts I'm going to give out! I will let announce the winners next Friday.
